On November 20th, 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) organized a special ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of the Vietnamese Techers’ Day. This event served not only as a mean to express appreciation to teachers but equally reflected upon the growth process of the university.
The opening performance, taking the theme of praising the people’s teacher, brought a heartwarming and emotional atmostphere, followed by equally elaborate performances. These performances had served as a conduit for the organizers heartfelt expression of emotion and respect for teachers.
During his congratulatory speech at the event, Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Son - President of the university - paid his utmost gratitude to the generations of lecturers and students of the university.
He also proudly shared: “It is a great honor to have received two Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, one National Award for Outstanding Educators, nine Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), as well as numerous Medals for the Cause of Education. More importantly, however, are the quiet yet profound achievements of the HCMUE collective. These stand as a firm testament to our invaluable contribution to the cause of education advancement. Each individual at HCMUE have shown relentless efforts to enhance the value of HCMUE. With that, I truly believe that these honors are not only a source of pride for the recipients, but also a shared joy for us all — because we have only one beloved Ho Chi Minh City University of Education”.
Over the past year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) has achieved significant milestones. Eight training programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels were accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training, and the university officially established its Gia Lai branch, marking a new chapter in its course of development. These accomplishments represent important steps toward enhancing training quality, promoting international integration, and supporting the university’s sustainable development.
The ceremony was also an occasion for the university to honor individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements, who were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Training, and other prestigious distinctions.
The Military Region 7 Art Troupe contributed a series of meticulously prepared performances, rich in artistic expression and filled with reverence for educators. The songs, dances, and artistic presentations created a poignant and dignified atmosphere that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
The event concluded in a joyful and warm spirit, offering teachers and students alike a moment to reflect on their accomplishments and aspire toward greater goals. More than just a moment of gratitude, the ceremony stood as a testament to HCMUE’s steadfast commitment to educational excellence.
